WAM! Wine, Art & Music 2012

A celebration of award-winning wines, artists at work,
dynamic music and burlesque, all in the unique setting of the
Rotary Centre for the Arts.
Wine… hosting wine producers from Osoyoos to Kelowna. Okanagan & VQA wine tastings allow you to truly reflect the grape variety in the Valley. Sample an amazing array of delicious foods prepared by local chefs. Tree Brewing will provide craft beer for your hop palette while a Martini bar will be available with specialty spirits.
Art… from life drawing with professional artists and onsite artist demos, to a display of fibre art, paintings, performance and burlesque. This is an opportunity to meet the artists, up close and personal. Take home a WAM! memory, with a photo from Okanagan Photo Star.
Music… the entire building will buzz with the energy of Kinshira Performance Troupe and the sounds of world-class pianist Andrew Johns. Cheesecake anyone? Shimmy & shake, titillate & tantalize with the Cheesecake Burlesque Revue.

This fun and funky adult event is not a fashion show in the traditional sense - it's an artistic exploration of all types of body adornment - blending burlesque sex appeal, clever design, breathtaking performance art, vaudeville humour and sheer spectacle. The Wearable Art Gala features creative experimentation with hair, jewelry, accessories and original one-of-a-kind wearables using everything from computer keyboards and teabags to string licorice and bubble wrap.
Show starts at 8pm @ the Rotary Centre for the Arts.
