Mission Creek and Regional Park

This turbulent creek empties into Okanagan Lake, in the Mission region of Kelowna. Intermediate paddlers can enjoy rock and boulder gardens, caves and a canyon while paddling this creek. The Regional Park is 92 hectares (230 acres) of nature reserve and offers a playground, picnic tables, picnic shelter, interpretive programs, hiking trails and The Environmental Education Centre.

Lake Okanagan

The largest of a chain of five lakes in the Thompson-Okanagan region, Lake Okanagan supports a variety of activities from houseboating to waterskiing. Houseboats can be rented for extended touring around the lake, and fishing is a popular pastime with the water full of rainbow trout, carp and ling cod. Be careful of Ogopogo - the Lochness monster of Lake Okanagan. With a water temperature that reaches 24 degrees Celcius in the summer, and 320 km (100 miles) of shoreline, visitors should not forget their swimming suits.

Beaver Lake

Beaver Lake is in BC mainland interior. This lake features relatively warm waters, excellent fishing, and the opportunity for some serious canoing fun.
